Brandy Henry

Brandy brings over 16 years of experience to her position. She began her career working at a CPA firm as a bookkeeper while also attending Austin Community College. After getting her start there she moved on to work for Matt at Amarado Oil Company in the accounting department. She then expanded her experience by working as the billing manager in a Houston law firm. After moving back to Austin in 2000, she went to work with Matt again and has been employed with him ever since. She has handled many aspects of bookkeeping over the years while increasing responsibility in accounting management as well as human resources. She was instrumental in molding the BBX accounting software into a usable system, incorporating her years of experience in Owner Relations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, royalty payments, joint interest billing, and payroll as the entities grew to full operator-ship status and one of the top 100 privately owned producers in the U.S. She currently serves as the Accounting Manager.

Laurel Vance

Laurel is responsible for all BBX entities' financials, financial reporting and tax preparation. She is an operations accounting specialist including production, gas pipeline, gas allocations, revenue accounting, and joint interest billing. She has over 20 years of Oil & Gas accounting experience including independent and publicly traded industry related firms. Laurel received her Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas, Austin. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her son, Tyler, a well site coordinator for BP; and playing golf with her husband, Jay, who is in the remodeling business.

Jessica Layton

Jessica Layton graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006 with a degree in Accounting.  Prior to working for BBX, she worked as an accountant for a private equity investor in Fort Worth for 13 years.  Her past experience includes partnership and management accounting.  She relocated to Austin with her husband in January 2010.

Valerie Denner

Valerie currently works as the accounting royalty relations liaison. She processes our operated well's revenue checks every month and also assists with royalty relations questions covering revenue payments. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Finance from the University of Colorado and an MBA from Concordia University Texas.
